Lend a Hand to Help Beautify Jackson Historic Cemetery ! The Jackson Historical Cemetery Committee is calling on local residents interested in preserving our community’s heritage to help beautify the Jackson City Cemetery on Church Street on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. Interested people should meet at the gazebo/flagpole area off of Placer Drive (at the east side of the cemetery). A few tools will be available, but helpers are encouraged to bring their own rake, clippers, weed eaters, etc. Come for an hour or more, whatever you can do will be appreciated! Coffee, donuts and water will be provided, but it is recommended that participants bring additional water of their own. The residents of our cemeteries don’t bother anyone, and they need you! Please lend whatever time you can spare to honor our community’s ancestors by helping tidy up the Jackson City Cemetery. For more information, call the City of Jackson at 209-223-1646.
