FREE MUSIC & HISTORY

Friday, August 15, 2025 (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

On Friday, August 15th, the Amador County Arts Council (Amador Arts) presents The Last Call, featuring vocalist Darcel Hunter, at the new C&C Ranch stage. This free event allows locals and tourists to picnic and celebrate summer with live music in an exquisite historic setting. Starting at 4 PM, all ages are welcome to bring their picnics, beverages, chairs, blankets, insect repellent, and summertime joy for this free concert, with the band playing from 6 to 8 PM. Local artists and artisans, including Claudia Schwalm, Cilladean Hopkins, Tony Venturelli, and more, will be onsite with live art, artisanal goods, and arts activities to enjoy. Although you may not be familiar with this spot, the C&C Ranch complex has been a Registered Historic Site since 1992 and features a commercial complex that was once the largest retailer in Amador County. With the first general store building constructed in 1850, the family business grew into a twelve-building enterprise and served the region for 127 years until 1977. The site holds wonders of our past and a plethora of artifacts (some still being uncovered) that weave a story of local culture, family, commerce, mining, agriculture, and industry in our recent past. The C&C Ranch is near Teresa’s Restaurant, just North of China Graveyard Road and South of Raggio Road in Jackson, California. Between the one-lane bridge and the “pink store”, you will find plenty of parking on both sides of the road—in the dirt bike field and behind the rose garden. The concert & picnicking takes place on the new patio stage near the community garden beds behind the historic barn
