Top Cop Challenge, aka Top Cop, exists to honor and empower our veterans and first responders by financially supporting non-profit organizations that are not only equipped to aid them in their recovery from every type of service related injury from the physical to the invisible wound, but that also support, encourage, and help them and their families meet essential daily needs, adjust to their new normal, and work toward a brighter future. These individuals chose to defend and protect us, and that is why we honor and support them. Top Cop is a not-for-profit organization operating under the auspices of the Amador Community Foundation, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code and does not receive any state or federal funding and relies solely on every single individual donation to enable us to continue serving our veterans and first responders. All of the monies raised goes to our veterans and first responders and all committee members are volunteer. Some of the beneficiaries of Top Cop’s fund raising efforts are: Alpha K9, Hospice of Amador & Calaveras, American Legion Post 108, Beyond the Call of Duty, Comfort Warriors, Gold Country Stand Down, Wood Angels, Victory Village, Varley Place, V.E.T., CHP 11-99 Foundation, Operation Surf, Tri City Cops & Kids, Field of Dreams, Amador Firefighters Assn., Ione Police Foundation, Silver Paws Ranch, Wreaths Across America, Pike City Volunteer Fire Dept. Assn., Dennis Dalton Foundation, Lockford Volunteer Fire Dept., Amador County Deputy Sheriff’s Assn., Ione Veteran Memorial Park, Jackson Police Foundation, Operation Care, ACART, Plymouth Veteran Memorial Park, Smoke Chasers Fire Education Event, The Star6 Foundation, Evac Teams of Amador, Alameda Elk’s Veterans Fund and Amador County Sheriff’s Annual Christmas Toy Drive. Please join us August 26th at our annual fundraiser as we honor all our men and women of our United States Navy, and enjoy an evening of great food, fun, entertainment and a chance to win many prizes.
