Amador Resource Conservation District
"Amador Resource Conservation District"
The Amador Resource Conservation District is a Special District authorized under Division IX of the Calif. Code of Regulations that serves the populace of Amador County and small sections of Calaveras and Alpine Counties in the area of Natural Resource Conservation.
Our Mission is to assist our constituents in the wise use of natural resources and the protection of those natural resources to ensure that future generations have the same access to them as our current populace. We help agricultural producers gain access to assistance from the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service. We have obtained grants for fuelbreaks, put on workshops to promote niche marketing of grass-fed livestock, assisted agricultural irrigators in their dealings with state agencies and encouraged youth to study natural resources in college.
Our board is a volunteer board appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 3:00pm at 12200-B Airport Road in Jackson.
